Illyrian Transfers 1

These transfers are water slide and are best used with a decal setter and in some cases a decal softener.  On dome shields, it’s best to apply a spray on adhesive to an already primed and painted white surface. You can allow the surface to be wet from the transfer and work out any water that is between the transfer and the shield surface. A colour shaper is ideal for this purpose. An applied transfer that has been gently warmed with a blow dryer will reduce the risk of perimeter shrink afterwards over time.  Be sure to have a good seal between the boss and the spine before adding any washes as the washes can get behind the transfer in some cases where the transfer hasn’t fully adhered to the shield. Brush on sealers are helpful in this regard before adding any further paint or wash touches around the central boss.
